GrindingHub 2024 28.02.2024
zur ÜbersichtIn May, the international trade fair GrindingHub 2024 opens its doors in Stuttgart. The Swabian sharpening specialist VOLLMER is using its trade fair presence in Hall 7 Stand D71 to showcase its portfolio of automated grinding, eroding, and laser machines, services and digital V@dison solutions. Several Vollmer innovations are celebrating their premieres, such as a filtration system for cooling oil and dielectric and a solution for grinding PcBN tools. VOLLMER's subsidiaries Loroch and ultraTEC innovation are also exhibiting their machines at GrindingHub.
The GrindingHub trade fair, which has established itself as an international hub for grinding technologies and superfinishing, is taking place for the second time since 2022. Biberach-based sharpening specialist VOLLMER , will also be represented in Stuttgart from 14th to 17th May 2024. As a full-line supplier, the global VOLLMER Group, with its subsidiaries Loroch and ultraTEC innovation covers various production technologies that can be used for the highly precise machining of rotary tools and circular and band saws from ultra-hard cutting materials.
Coolant filtration and precise PcBN machining
VOLLMER is presenting its VFS 400 filtration system for the first time at GrindingHub. Visitors to the trade fair can experience live how the space-saving system carries out ultra-fine filtration of cooling oil or dielectric during the sharpening process. Depending on the machine type, up to two VOLLMER sharpening machines can be connected to the VFS 400.
The second innovation from VOLLMER is a feature for the VGrind 360S grinding machine. Thanks to an optional dressing unit for the grinding wheel, tools with the ultra-hard cutting material PcBN (polycrystalline cubic boron nitride) can, in future, also be ground in two machining steps – first roughing and then high-precision finishing. PcBN machining is possible with the VGrind 360S because the machine has a very high system rigidity on the one hand and the X, Y and Z axes are driven by linear induction motors on the other, which implements oscillating tool machining.
The VHybrid 260 grinding and eroding machine and the VLaser 370 laser machine can also be seen live on the VOLLMER stand. The VFS 400 filtration system is connected to the two CHX 840 and CS 860 grinding machines, which sharpen carbide-tipped circular saws. Various automated systems also document how tool manufacturers can use VOLLMER machines unmanned and around the clock.
VOLLMER's presence at the trade fair will be rounded off by services for maintenance, servicing, training, financing and digitalisation. Among them are the services of the V@dison digital initiative, which include, for example, the "Performance Package for VHybrid 260" V@ boost solution.
In addition to its machines, VOLLMER is also showcasing products and services from its subsidiaries Loroch and ultraTEC innovation. Loroch is bringing the three sharpening machines TWIN 860, Solution K850-T and KSC 710 to Stuttgart. ultraTEC innovation is providing information about its ultrasonic deburring systems, which can be used to deburr metal or plastic components without contact.
"For us as a sharpening specialist, GrindingHub is the central trade fair for presenting our innovations for tool machining to an international trade audience and for engaging in an intensive dialogue with our customers," says Jürgen Hauger, CEO of the VOLLMER Group.
